The long-running manga series Rakudai Ninja Rantarou is celebrating four decades of mischief, and a new official story guide will pack that entire history into two books. The Rakudai Ninja Rantarou Official Story Guide upper and lower volumes are set for simultaneous release on December 7, 2026.
Written by Amako Soubee, the guide promises to cover all 65 volumes of the original manga, bringing together iconic scenes, memorable lines, and character settings. It also answers reader questions like “Which episode does my favorite character appear in?” and “Which volume contains that famous line?” The two books will trace the 40-year journey of Rantarou, Kirimaru, and Shinbei and their friends.
Each volume will include highlights from the comics, along with a column titled “Ask Amako-sensei!” Readers can enjoy a curated selection of famous moments, dialogue, and settings drawn from the entire 65-volume run. The guide will also feature newly drawn manga.
The upper volume covers content from volumes 1 through 32, while the lower volume picks up from volume 33 and runs through volume 65. The lower volume is currently in production, and additional details are expected to be announced in the future.
Both volumes are planned as B6-format books with approximately 200 pages each. They are priced at 1,500 yen (plus tax) per volume, and will hit shelves on December 7, 2026.
