A new collaboration between the TV anime Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World and the carbonated drink Poppin Cider has arrived. Developed jointly by Plus One and Shizuoka-based beverage maker Kimura Beverage, the lineup features six flavors inspired by Subaru, Emilia, Rem, Ram, Beatrice, and Julius. The drinks are now available in limited quantities at Don Quijote stores nationwide.
Re:Zero began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in April 2012 and has been published by MF Bunko J since January 2014. Written by Nagatsuki Tappei, the story follows Natsuki Subaru, a boy summoned to another world who gains the power to rewind time upon death. The series has sold over 16 million copies worldwide, including e-books. The fourth season, titled “Dakkan-hen” (Recapture Arc), is currently airing, directed by Shinohara Masaharu and produced by WHITE FOX.
The Poppin Cider collaboration features six colorful flavors, each matching a character’s image: Subaru with mango, Emilia with yogurt, Rem with blue lemonade, Ram with strawberry cream soda, Beatrice with pineapple, and Julius with blueberry. Each bottle comes with one of three randomly selected stickers featuring the character.
