Original blend coffee and merchandise based on Pop Team Epic will be released on September 25, 2026, via the OK COFFEE e-commerce site.

What Is Pop Team Epic?

Pop Team Epic is a four-panel manga by Okawa Bkub, serialized on Takeshobo’s web comic site Manga Life WIN since November 2014. It follows Popuko (short) and Pipimi (tall), a pair of 14-year-old girls, through absurd, sometimes black-humored situations that the manga itself proudly calls “crap.” The anime’s first season aired in January 2018, with season two starting October 2022; each episode’s A and B parts used the same footage but with different voice casts, a gimmick that also made headlines.

The Collaboration Concept

This collaboration aims to capture the manga’s persistent, slowly creeping humor in “an everyday cup.” The theme is “mix two dangerous people together”—the dynamic between Popuko and Pipimi becomes a coffee blend.

The blend uses Indonesian beans, roasted deep for a powerful, wild richness, and Colombian beans for a bright aroma and mild acidity. After much trial and error, the two opposing personalities hit a balance that makes you reflexively mutter that it’s seriously delicious and go for another cup. The result is Poputepi Blend, an addictive original blend coffee that may cause you to refill too often.

Drink and Goods Lineup

The drip-pack version, Drip Pack Coffee Poputepi Blend, features carefully selected manga panels chosen by the OK COFFEE team on its packaging—perfect for a fun, happy coffee break.

For those who don’t like black coffee, the Latte Base – Shorter One comes in packaging with Popuko on it. It’s a mellow latte base, so even people who usually refuse black coffee can enjoy it.

The Bottle Coffee – Taller One is a straight coffee in a bottle, with Pipimi on the label, meant to be drunk straight from the bottle.

Two stylish mugs are also available, featuring Popuko and Pipimi along with a roaster, with the OK COFFEE logo and the pair secretly blended into the design.

Two acrylic coasters showcase Popuko and Pipimi’s unforgettable faces—they’ll command attention just sitting on your desk.

Then there are the acrylic stirrers, made from the title logo torn apart into pieces. Look closely and each one becomes strangely cute; collect all seven and… well, something.

Sales details are available on OK COFFEE’s official X account. The “Poputepi Blend” is a serious, coffee-loving attempt to reproduce the work’s chaotic madness with a completely straight face—so give it a try.
