Chainsaw Man Reze Arc Launches VHS-Style Shinjuku Display, Hanazawa Natsuki Viewing Guide

The theatrical anime film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc began its exclusive streaming run on Prime Video on September 19. To celebrate, Hanazawa Natsuki—the voice of shark fiend Beam—released a special “encouragement viewing guide video” on September 20. Starting September 21, a retro rental video store-style special advertisement will also grace the Shinjuku Station Metro Promenade.

The Story of Chainsaw Man

Adapted from Fujimoto Tatsuki’s manga of the same name, Chainsaw Man centers on Denji, a young boy working as a devil hunter to settle the debts his parents left behind. After a certain incident gives him the heart of a devil, he becomes Chainsaw Man and is drawn into a series of brutal battles.

The TV anime premiered in October 2022, and the theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc followed in September 2025, going on to become a worldwide phenomenon with box office revenues surpassing 29.7 billion yen.

Hanazawa Natsuki’s Viewing Guide Video

In the newly released “[Home Version] Encouragement Viewing Guide Video,” Hanazawa introduces four ways to fully enjoy Chainsaw Man Reze Arc at home. From making as much noise as you want without worrying about your surroundings, to replaying favorite scenes and decorating your room to boost the mood, the video highlights the free-spirited viewing experiences that only streaming can offer.

Shinjuku Station Metro Promenade Special Ad

From September 21 to September 27, the Shinjuku Station Metro Promenade will feature a large-scale special exhibition. The display takes its cue from the film’s reputation as “the ultimate shark movie” among shark movie fans during its theatrical run, introducing Chainsaw Man Reze Arc alongside 30 carefully chosen shark films.

The ad is designed in the style of a rental video store. It includes a retro shark movie-style special poster for Chainsaw Man Reze Arc created by Prime Video and a three-dimensional panel of Chainsaw Man riding on Beam. In a playful concept, VHS cases for the film and all 30 shark movies will be displayed on shelves, just like in a rental shop.

Two VHS case designs for Chainsaw Man Reze Arc were created exclusively for this exhibition, making them rare collector’s items that can only be seen here. A featured corner stocked with “Fujimoto Tatsuki-sensei’s recommendation” POP labels is also planned, alongside scene photographs, life-size character illustrations, the five key visuals used during the theatrical release, and a brand-new visual drawn specifically for the Prime Video streaming debut. Visitors will be able to fully soak themselves in the world of the film.
