Sanrio’s Pompompurin and Laura Ashley have teamed up for a new lineup of handkerchief items. The collection includes three types: print handkerchiefs, towel handkerchiefs, and mini towel handkerchiefs. They are scheduled to go on sale sequentially from early October 2026.
Pompompurin’s 30th Anniversary Year
Pompompurin, who reaches his 30th anniversary year in 2026, is a male golden retriever whose trademark is a dark brown beret. He is easygoing, likes the word odekake (outing), and dislikes orusuban (staying home). Collecting shoes is one of his hobbies.
Laura Ashley Floral Patterns With a Subtle Pompompurin Touch
For this collaboration, the new handkerchief items use Laura Ashley floral patterns that gently complement the long-beloved Pompompurin. The design gives the handkerchiefs a lovely, cute atmosphere, while Pompompurin’s subtle presence may also make them easy for adults to carry.
Print Handkerchief
The print handkerchief (1,100 yen each, tax included) places Pompompurin subtly within the floral pattern, creating a design that lifts the heart each time he is spotted.
Towel Handkerchief and Mini Towel Handkerchief
The towel handkerchief (1,100 yen each, tax included) and mini towel handkerchief (880 yen each, tax included) feature a cute posed Pompompurin in the corner, with one-point embroidery of flowers and clovers as an accent.
Release and Availability
The items are planned to go on sale sequentially from early October at handkerchief sections of department stores and specialty shops nationwide, as well as at the Kawabe online shop. They are positioned as items to enjoy for autumn outings or as gifts for people close to you.
