The first episode of the fall 2026 anime Aoki Denshou – Welsh & Shedar is set to air on October 2, 2026, and the production has revealed the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1, ‘Kinoko no Pie’ (Mushroom Pie).
Aoki Denshou – Welsh & Shedar is an original TV anime adventure fantasy from the French company Ankama, known for the MMORPG Dofus. The story centers on the legendary item Dofus, said to have created the world, and follows the intersecting fates of two boys born into different circumstances. Horiuchi Naoki directs, with animation production by Studio Musket.
Story and World
Dofus is a legendary item said to hold the power of gods and to have created the world. Depending on who uses it, that power can become either great good or great evil.
Zabel, queen of Bonta, the largest nation on the continent, plans to conquer the world with the power of Dofus. Oppressed people continue to have their life force exploited without knowing it. No one has appeared to oppose Zabel, who is protected by the dragon Azalar, an incarnation of Ebony Dofus (Black Dofus).
Welsh, a cooking-loving boy living in a peaceful countryside, is pulled into a great flow of fate by an attack from Azalar and the appearance of Joris, who saves him. The presence of Shedar, who targets Welsh, makes his situation even more complicated. During his adventure, Welsh receives help from companions and gradually accepts the truth. Recognizing the great responsibility of saving the world, he moves toward confronting Shedar and Zabel.
If great power were within reach, how would one use it? What matters most, and what must be protected? And what answer will the boy give? Will the world be saved?
Episode 1 ‘Kinoko no Pie’ Synopsis
Welsh lives in Broccoli Village, where he bakes pies with Mama Caloni and spends peaceful days.
However, that peaceful daily life suddenly comes to an end because of a certain event.
Episode 1 of Aoki Denshou – Welsh & Shedar, ‘Kinoko no Pie’, will air on October 2 (Friday) on TOKYO MX.
