Story and Setting
The story takes place in a world where gifts from the creator god greatly shape a person’s life. Rent, a kind boy living in a frontier village, receives the extremely rare support ability Mazouko, which allows him to lend his magic to others. He forms the party Dankuu no Tsurugi with his childhood friends and sets out on an adventure as a support member.
However, Rent remains weak and is eventually seen as a burden, leading to his merciless expulsion from the party. After intense anger and a desire for revenge awaken in him, his gift evolves and reveals its true power: a skill to forcibly collect the enormous amount of magic he had lent out. His revenge story begins as he collects magic from the former comrades who betrayed him and uses it to grow stronger.
