The TV anime Meitantei Precure! is getting a Halloween crossover with Ojamajo Doremi. The collaboration will take place in Episode 39, titled Ojamajo Halloween♪, which airs on October 25, 2026. In the episode, the Meitantei Precure characters dress up as witch apprentices.
A Crossover Connected by 1999
Meitantei Precure! is the latest entry in the Precure series, which began airing in February 2026. Its story starts when protagonist Akechi Anna time-slips from 2027 to 1999. The crossover was made possible by that 1999 setting and the fact that Ojamajo Doremi also began airing in 1999. In Makoto Mirai City, the setting of Meitantei Precure!, Ojamajo Doremi is broadcast and is said to be very popular.
Episode 39: Ojamajo Halloween♪
In Episode 39, Anna and the others make costumes and props as they prepare for Halloween. At Anna’s suggestion, the shopping district holds its first Halloween event, and the streets are filled with smiling people in costumes collecting candy.
While helping with the event, Anna and her friends meet a young girl named Hina, who has been separated from her mother. They look for her mother together, but after hearing that Hina has her hands full taking care of her younger brother, they decide to walk her home while touring the shopping district.
As they talk about Hina’s costume, Agesene appears disguised as a witch and steals Hina’s precious broom, which contains a Makoto Jewel. Anna and the others leave Hina with Jet-senpai and chase after Agesene.
However, the witch’s footprints from Agesene’s disguise vanish along the way. Anna deduces that Agesene changed costumes while escaping. Since their own costumes have already been seen, Anna and her friends decide to use different disguises so they will not be recognized.
Crossover Art by Umakoshi Yoshihiko
The newly revealed collaboration illustration was drawn by Umakoshi Yoshihiko, who served as character designer for Ojamajo Doremi. It is a special newly drawn illustration depicting a meeting between Cure Answer and Doremi.
Setting illustrations for Episode 39 were also revealed. They show the four members of the Curett Detective Office dressed as characters from Ojamajo Doremi. Fans of the Ojamajo generation may immediately recognize who is wearing which costume. Expectations are high for what Anna-cchi, Mikuru-cchi, Kurea-cchi, and Ruruka-cchi will do in the episode.
Collaboration Merchandise
Goods featuring Umakoshi Yoshihiko’s collaboration illustration and the Curett Detective Office setting illustrations are also planned. The lineup spans from the Ojamajo generation to Tanpre viewers. Here are the main announced items.

Collaboration Card Campaign
A campaign offering a collaboration card will run from October 24 (Saturday) while supplies last at toy stores and electronics retailers nationwide. Aramaki Souya, Producer of Meitantei Precure!
I am very happy that we were able to realize a collaboration with Ojamajo Doremi, a great senior of Nichiasa. It was a difficult challenge to do a main-story anime crossover between works with different worldviews, but we built the collaboration around the 1999 era, which is a feature of Tanpre, and treated it as the TV anime Ojamajo Doremi that was airing at the time. Because it is a TV anime crossover, Doremi herself cannot appear, but please enjoy the special staging that takes advantage of that. Umakoshi-san, who is in charge of character design for Ojamajo Doremi, drew the collaboration visual. Answer has two expression patterns. It is a wonderful illustration that expands various imaginings from the two expressions. We use them differently according to the development, so please pay attention to that as well.
Seki Hiromi, Producer of Ojamajo Doremi
When I heard a rumor that a new Precure would be set in 1999, I thought that year was a special year. As the producer of Doremi, I was sure that Aramaki-san, the producer of Tanpre, was from the generation that grew up watching Doremi. There is a proverb that says a child can teach an adult, and working with staff much younger than me was more fun than I imagined, bringing back many memories. I talked about the important points of Doremi, exchanged scripts with Narita-san for the first time in a while, and checked storyboards by two people. I was moved to tears to see that the skills of directors Sato, Igarashi, Yamauchi, and Nagamine were properly inherited. Above all, I was grateful for the stylish arrangement that the two directors named Hana-chan and Hazuki-chan would handle the storyboards. In 1999, these two were probably young; I am truly looking forward to their adult work from now on.
The Meitantei Precure! and Ojamajo Doremi collaboration will air in Episode 39 on October 25, 2026. The two series passed the Nichiasa baton, and this one-episode collaboration uses a story unique to Meitantei Precure!.
