Toei Animation and Tsuburaya Productions have unveiled the third key visual and a teaser video for Kaijuu Decode: Aidara no Yubiwa. The teaser features footage from the anime and marks the first reveal of character voices for Maru, played by Yamane Aya, and Koko, played by Takahashi Karin. The new material offers an early look at the world of the work, which is planned for release in 2027.
Third Key Visual Shows Koko and Giira
The third key visual depicts Koko, a girl of the Aidara tribe, gently smiling at the monster Giira as she reaches out her hand. The image suggests Koko’s wish to live together with monsters.
Teaser Video Debuts Character Voices
The teaser video uses footage from the main anime and includes the first character voice reveal. Maru, voiced by Yamane Aya, is a boy who hunts monsters to make a living. Koko, voiced by Takahashi Karin, wishes to live alongside monsters. The story follows the drama created by these two characters from different circumstances, and the footage also builds anticipation for powerful monster action.
Part of the KAIJU DECODE Project
Kaijuu Decode: Aidara no Yubiwa is an anime co-produced by Toei Animation and Tsuburaya Productions. It is a new work in KAIJU DECODE, a transmedia project themed around "monsters and girls." The project has previously developed short animation, VR animation, and an MR game, and this new title tells a fresh story.
