A new Tottoko Hamutarou cosmetics and goods collection has launched in Japan with blind packaging, keeping the character inside a surprise until opening. The lineup went on sale on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, and includes four item types: lip balm, hand cream, a front-hair clip, and a zipper pouch.

Four Hamutarou items in 15 varieties each
The series is based on Tottoko Hamutarou, the story of the curious hamster Hamutarou, his owner Roko-chan, and his hamster friends, the Ham-chanzu. Kawai Ritsuko began the manga in the educational magazine Shogaku Ninensei in 1997. A TV anime followed in 2000, and the franchise has also expanded through OVAs and theatrical films.
Each of the four new items comes in 15 varieties, and which character appears is revealed only after opening. The two cosmetics items also feature different scents for each character.
Lip balm and hand cream with charms
The cosmetics lineup includes two items with character-specific scents. The Tottoko Hamutarou Charm-tsuki Lip Balm is priced at 880 yen.

The Tottoko Hamutarou Acrylic Charm-tsuki Whip Hand Cream is priced at 990 yen.

Both cosmetics are blind-packaged, so the character and its scent remain a surprise until the item is opened.
Flocky hair clips and zipper pouch
The accessories include the Tottoko Hamutarou Flocky Front Hair Clip, which has a soft flocky finish and costs 660 yen.

The Tottoko Hamutarou Zipper Pouch is suited to storing small items and costs 770 yen.

The goods are also part of the 15-variety blind assortment, with the character revealed only after opening.
The collection is available at variety stores, discount stores, and drugstores nationwide, as well as the Shobido official online store.
