A New Dawn for Yona: Manga Concludes and Sequel Anime Announced!
The manga Akatsuki no Yona (also known as Yona of the Dawn), which has finally reached its conclusion, graces the cover and front color pages of Hana to Yume Issue 2, released on December 19, 2025. This issue, which also includes the luxurious bonus “Akatsuki no Yona Completion Commemorative Acrylic Stand by Kusanagi Mizuho,” brought the exciting news that a sequel anime adaptation has been greenlit!

Akatsuki no Yona is the epic fantasy romance series by Kusanagi Mizuho, serialized in Hana to Yume. Set in the Kouka Kingdom, a land rich with founding myths and the legend of the Four Dragons, the story follows the intertwined destinies of the princess protagonist Yona and the four warriors, the Dragons. It was adapted into a TV anime from October 2014 to March 2015, and has also seen stage and musical adaptations. Loved by many readers, the series ran for 16 years since its start in 2009 Issue 17.
