Dandadan Anime Third Season Confirmed for 2027!

What is Dandadan?
Based on the wildly popular manga by Takakii Ryuu serialized on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump+ app (with over 12 million copies in circulation), Dandadan is a unique blend of occult battle and coming-of-age story. It follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her occult-obsessed classmate “Okarun.” Their lives take a bizarre turn when they encounter forces beyond understanding, gaining hidden powers and cursed abilities. Now, they must face encroaching weirdness while also navigating their own fated… romantic tension?
A Certified Hit
The TV anime, featuring Shion Wakayama as Momo (Ayase Momo) and Natsuki Hanae as Okarun (Takakura Ken), airs in the MBS/TBS “Super Animeism TURBO” block. The first season (Oct-Dec 2024) grabbed the #1 average viewer rating in the block’s history. It was a global sensation too, winning international awards and hitting #2 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) chart. The second season (Jul-Sep 2025) built on that success, with its advance theatrical screenings even ranking in the Top 10 in the US. The third season was announced right after the second season’s finale, and fans have been eagerly awaiting details ever since.
