The star of the show is a beautifully crafted “Cup & Saucer” set featuring none other than the charismatic Nyanko-sensei.
About Natsume Yuujinchou
Natsume Yuujinchou is a supernatural contract fantasy based on the manga by Midorikawa Yuki, serialized in Monthly LaLa. The story follows the lonely boy Natsume Takashi, who carries the secret of being able to see youkai (spirits). His life changes when he inherits the “Book of Friends,” a ledger containing the names of youkai his powerful grandmother, Reiko, once subdued. Now pursued by spirits wanting their names back, Takashi navigates his busy days with his self-proclaimed bodyguard, the pompous but powerful Nyanko-sensei.
The TV anime began with its first season in 2008 and has since aired up to a sixth season. The iconic voice cast features Kamiya Hiroshi as the gentle Natsume Takashi and Inoue Kazuhiko as the mischievous Nyanko-sensei. The series saw its first original film in September 2018, followed by a theatrical screening of two popular short stories in January 2021. The latest season, Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi (The Seventh), aired from October 7, 2024.
