The anime is based on the light novel series written by Hiromu with illustrations by raemz. Originally published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint starting in June 2019, the story has captured many readers. The main series is up to its ninth volume (released August 2024), with a third side story volume hitting shelves in October 2024.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Bobcat, serialized from April 2020 and concluded earlier this year. Its eighth and final volume was published in March 2024.

Good news for English-speaking audiences! Yen Press holds the license for both the light novel and manga. The seventh light novel volume is already available, with the eighth scheduled for May 2026. On the manga side, the seventh volume is out now, and the concluding eighth volume is set for an April 2026 release.
