“Isekai Munchkin” Anime Broadcasts from October! Ura Kazuki, Yuuki Kana, Ishikawa Yui, Maeda Kaori, and Others Join as Main Cast, 1st PV Released.

New Anime “Isekai Munchkin – HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Dungeon Kouryaku -” Arriving in October 2025! Key Visual, PV, and Main Cast Revealed

The TV anime `Isekai Munchkin – HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Dungeon Kouryaku -` is set to begin airing in October 2025. Alongside this exciting announcement, a key visual and the first promotional video (PV) have been released. The main character cast, including Urara Kazuki, Yuuki Kana, Ishikawa Yui, and Maeda Kaori, has also been revealed.

Affectionately known as `Isekai Munchkin`, or formally titled `Isekai Munchkin – HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Dungeon Kouryaku -`, this series is an isekai fantasy adventure rooted in the world of TRPG (Tabletop RPGs). Based on the original story by Shizui Yuu and manga by Aogiri Ryou, it is currently serialized in Kodansha’s “Suiyoubi no Sirius”.

For those unfamiliar, a “Munchkin” in TRPG circles refers to a player who cleverly leverages the rules, sometimes even exploiting loopholes, to gain an advantage and optimize their gameplay. The story kicks off when Kirihara Yukito, an ordinary high school student with a passion for TRPGs, is enjoying a game with his beloved younger sister, Sana, only to be suddenly attacked by a monster from another world and tragically killed.
However, Yukito is granted a chance at reincarnation by the goddess Nephilia in the other world, Eversworld. There, he stumbles upon a description of Sana within Nephilia’s possession, the Sekai Sho (World Masters Guide). Determined to find his precious sister in this new realm, Yukito snatches the Sekai Sho and reincarnates. And so begins Yukito’s TRPG adventure tale, where his strong will and rolls of the Dice determine his fate as he navigates the harsh isekai world by acting as a “Munchkin” to survive.

The newly released key visual brings together the main characters. At the center, holding the Sekai Sho (World Masters Guide) with a serious expression, is the protagonist, Kirihara Yukito, who will plunge into intense battles to find his sister in the transmigration destination. Surrounding him are his party members who journey with him through the other world: Charlotte R. Braunia, a Paladin; Liverna Dark, a Dvergr (Dark Dwarf) and Cleric; and Rumilia Sherwood, an Elf and Ranger.

Burdened by the immense weakness of having a constant HP of 1 in a brutal isekai, Yukito resolves to seal away his inherent kindness and survive by becoming a “Coward” (Munchkin). What destiny awaits them in this perilous journey?

The PV begins with a live-action scene of playing “Dungeons & Dragons” in a dimly lit room. As the 20-sided die spins, the footage shifts to animation, transporting the viewer to another world teeming with countless goblins.
Goblins are defeated by Yukito using underhanded methods, and he declares, “No matter what means it takes, I’ll survive! This is the only way to survive!”, showing his resolve to live on as a “Coward” (Munchkin) in this cruel world. The PV also features glimpses of Charlotte, Rumilia, and Liverna, who become Yukito’s companions. With each of them holding their own objectives, how will their journeys intertwine with Yukito’s? This unconventional TRPG adventure story is certainly building anticipation.

It was also revealed that Urara Kazuki will voice Kirihara Yukito, Yuuki Kana will voice Charlotte R. Braunia, Ishikawa Yui will voice Rumilia Sherwood, and Maeda Kaori will voice Liverna Dark.

Other cast members include Tsukishiro Hina as Kirihara Sana, Ochiai Fukushi as Rocinante, Itou Ayasa as Managarm, Hikasa Youko as Nephilia Curse, and Katsu Anri as Sekai Sho / Narration. Comments from Urara, Yuuki, Ishikawa, and Maeda, as well as from Directors Yoshimizu Kei and Fukushi Naoya, were also released.

Furthermore, the official website for the series has opened, and simultaneously, a column series titled “More Enjoyable! Isekai Munchkin” by TRPG translator and writer Yanagida Masakaki has begun. This column will delve deeper into the TRPG elements scattered throughout the anime while explaining the concept of “TRPG” itself, which serves as the subject matter of this work. The first installment’s theme is “What is the TRPG this work is based on?”. Fans can look forward to enjoying this column alongside the anime.

Yukito is highly intelligent, constantly devising various strategies to challenge enemies despite having only 1 HP. His willingness to go to any lengths is both cool and amusing…

I’m Yuuki Kana, playing Charlotte R. Braunia.
A work based on TRPG, in a sword-and-magic isekai… Isn’t that just the best?!
The Charlotte-chan I play is a serious and honest girl, but she’s weak to being talked into things and easily persuaded. (lol)
The interactions with Yukito are certainly a highlight, but personally, I also find her interactions with her beloved horse Rocinante particularly noteworthy.

As the voice recording progresses, I’m truly feeling the depth of TRPG and the fascinating way this work incorporates it into the story.
Rumilia, whom I portray, usually doesn’t show much emotion and appears aloof, but she deeply cares for her older sister and possesses a strong core, ready to do anything for her goals. I want to portray her sometimes cutely, and sometimes coolly!

Maeda Kaori

I’m Maeda Kaori, and I’ll be playing Liverna Dark!
I think it’s really clever how Yukito develops strategies to win because he’s always in a precarious HP state!
Liverna is a very expressive character; within her dignity as a Dark Priestess, there’s a strong will, but also an undeniable and wonderful cuteness!
And it’s truly a fantastic party, so please look forward to how everyone changes and fights based on Yukito’s strategies!
