Another World Adventure with a Minor Goddess Begins!
Great news for isekai fans! The popular light novel series Shinja Zero no Megami-sama to Hajimeru Isekai Kouryaku (also known as Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers) is officially getting a television anime adaptation. The announcement came from entertainment giant Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures, who shared some beautiful commemorative artwork to celebrate.
The story throws a classic twist on the transported-to-another-world trope. It follows Makoto Takatsuki, a high school student and avid gamer who dies in an accident and wakes up in a fantasy realm alongside his classmates. While others get powerful cheat-like abilities, Makoto seems to draw the short straw. With no overpowered skills to rely on, he settles for the humble path of a “Magic Apprentice.”
His fate changes, however, when Noa, a minor and seemingly powerless goddess, appears before him. After she desperately pleads with him, Makoto agrees to become her very first believer. This partnership between the “weakest” boy and a minor deity sets the stage for a unique journey to become the strongest.
About the Source Material
The series was originally penned by author Isle Oosaki on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in May 2018. Its popularity led to a print publication under Overlap’s Bunko imprint in March 2019, featuring illustrations by artist Tam-U. The light novel is still going strong, with its 12th volume released in April 2024.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Hakuto Shiroi, also began serialization in Comic Gardo in April 2020. The manga’s ninth volume was published in March 2025, with the tenth volume scheduled for release on January 25.
For English-speaking fans, both the light novel and manga have been licensed by J-Novel Club.
