The Award-Winning Manga
Here’s a closer look at the celebrated titles that impressed the judges and readers alike.
Unmei no Makimodoshi
Created by Kimura Fuuta, this thrilling action series has been captivating readers in Monthly CoroCoro Comic since January 2022. The story, also known by its English title Fate Rewinder, has already racked up 11 compiled volumes as of December 2025. Its popularity isn’t slowing down either—an anime adaptation by the renowned studio Bones Film is currently in the works. This marks a significant achievement for the manga, which was also a nominee for the 69th awards, proving its lasting appeal.
Cosmos
This gripping sci-fi action saga comes from the mind of Tamura Ryuuhei. Serialized in the monthly Sunday Gene-X magazine since April 2023, Cosmos has built a dedicated following, with its seventh volume hitting shelves in September 2025. Its quality has been recognized internationally, ranking ninth in the Male Readers’ category of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2025 list. Western fans can enjoy it too, as Viz Media has been publishing the English version digitally since 2024, keeping pace with the Japanese release.
Dandadan
A true powerhouse in the modern manga scene, Dandadan is the brainchild of creator Tatsu Yukinobu. It exploded onto the scene via Shounen Jump+ in April 2021 and has never looked back, with a staggering 22 volumes published as of January 2026. Its unique blend of action and the supernatural has successfully leaped to animation, with two 12-episode anime seasons produced by Science SARU already aired, and a third season confirmed for 2027. A past nominee for the Manga Taisho Awards, its success continues globally thanks to Viz Media’s English release.
Dekin no Mogura (also known as Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole)
This compelling series by Eguchi Natsumi began its run in the weekly Morning magazine in April 2021. With 11 volumes out and a successful 12-episode anime adaptation by Brain’s Base that aired in Summer 2025, it’s a title that has firmly cemented its place. English-speaking readers can check it out through Kodansha’s K Manga service.

Offering a more relaxed but equally impactful experience is Hirayasumi by Shinzou Keigo. This beloved slice-of-life story has been a staple in Big Comic Spirits since April 2021, currently spanning nine volumes. A previous nominee for the Manga Taisho Awards, its heartwarming tale is set to reach even more fans with an upcoming anime adaptation by Production +h. announced in 2025.
