About the Anime Phenomenon

Ginga Tokkyuu Mirukii☆Subuwei is a 12-episode short anime that created a massive wave of buzz immediately after its broadcast and streaming began in July 2025. Directed by Kameyama-kantoku, who spent nearly two years creating it mostly by himself, the series is set on a runaway “Milky☆Subway.” It captivated a huge audience with its nostalgic-yet-SF visuals, uniquely natural dialogue, and incredibly satisfying audio-visual direction.

The hype didn’t stop after the broadcast ended. The official YouTube channel has smashed an incredible 150 million total views. With many celebrities across different fields declaring themselves “Miru-Sabu” fans on SNS and radio programs, it was one of the shows that defined the 2025 anime scene. Ginga Tokkyuu Mirukii☆Subuwei Kakuekiteisha Gekijouyuki is the theatrical version, a re-edited and powered-up rebirth of the series with new scenes added for the big screen.
