The TV anime One Dance is set to begin broadcasting on October 8, 2025. In exciting news, its second promotional video has just been released! It was also revealed that the opening theme song will be performed by BE:FIRST and the ending theme by ELSEE, with comments from both artists already received.
Main key visual for One Dance
One Dance is a TV anime based on the “street dance x romance” manga by Kouhii, serialized in Kodansha’s monthly comic magazine “Afternoon.” The series has already surpassed 1.1 million copies in circulation. This captivating coming-of-age story follows high school student Oya Kaboku (voiced by Uchiyama Kouki), who struggles with stuttering and finds it difficult to express his feelings. He becomes drawn to dance through his classmate, Wanda Hikari (voiced by Hitsujimiya Hina), who fearlessly pursues her own expression without worrying about others’ perceptions. Together, they take on the challenge of “freestyle” dance, a form of expression that needs no words.
The manga boasts immense popularity not only in Japan but also overseas, having been published in 10 languages. It even won an award at the North American manga award “You Should Read This Manga 2023” as a “work expected to be animated.” After being eagerly awaited by fans both domestically and internationally for an animated adaptation, the TV anime is finally set to premiere!
The recently unveiled second promotional video showcases Kaboku awakening to the charm of dance and beginning to blossom his talent, alongside Wanda, who dances gracefully as if guiding him. Additionally, unique new characters make their first appearance, including Miyao On (voiced by Suwa Ayaka), the dance club captain and absolute ace; Itsukushima Iori (voiced by Masuda Toshiki), a ghost member with impressive skills; and Kabetani Gaku (voiced by Uchida Yuuma), a formidable B-Boy from another school. The anticipation for the dynamic dance scenes, a hallmark of dance anime, is incredibly high!

Further exciting news includes the theme song details. The opening theme song will be “Stare In Wonder,” a new track by the seven-member dance and vocal group BE:FIRST, who have seen remarkable success, including mobilizing approximately 300,000 people for their four major dome tours across Japan. The ending theme song will be “Wondrous,” a new song by ELSEE, a promising dance and vocal group that recently announced their major debut.
With both the opening and ending themes handled by highly skilled and influential groups in the music industry known for their exceptional dance prowess, this anime, which portrays street dance, is sure to be even more exhilarating. Along with the announcement, comments from each artist were also shared.
