The conveyor belt sushi chain Sushiro suddenly released a mysterious audio clip. Following the mysterious illustration video posted earlier, anticipation for the next collaboration is rising on X, with comments like “I knew it!”
Sushiro posted the audio on its official X account. The post said “2026/5/14 (Thu) 20:00 RELEASE Headphones recommended” and suddenly featured only audio.
The audio contains a male cool voice saying “Ee yan, Sushiro” (That’s nice, Sushiro).
Although the identity of the voice has not been officially announced, the comments section is buzzing that it might be voice actor Yasumoto Hiroki.
On May 11, 2026, a video of a mysterious bird illustration approaching was posted on Sushiro’s official X, believed to be drawn by voice actor Eguchi Takuya.
Many speculated that the mysterious bird in the illustration is “Ota Mayo-kun” from the “Otaku no Series” drawn by Eguchi. The “Otaku no Series” is a project for otaku who forget to eat while immersed in games, manga, or anime. The general producer is voice actor Yasumoto Hiroki, known for roles like Hoozuki in “Hoozuki no Reitetsu” and Kaneshiro Masakazu in “Yowamushi Pedal”, and also known as a food connoisseur. The first product was “Otaku no Mayo”, the second “Otaku no Dressing”, and both have been popular. The character design on the packaging is by Eguchi Takuya.
Now, with the voice clip that sounds like Yasumoto, X users have responded with comments like “It’s Yasumoto-san! So it’s an Otama Collab after all lol”, “Suddenly hearing that cool voice surprised me”, “Could that voice be voice actor Yasumoto-san?”, “It’s Yasumoto-san! No way it’s Otama?”, “MAJIKA☆ I have to go more often! Amazing”, “No way!!!”, “!!!!!????????!!!!!”, “Eh!? Yasumoto-san??” – expectations are high.
