To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Pokemon series, Uniqlo has announced the second wave of its UT Collection. Four Pokemon UT designs will be released in late July 2026.
Affectionately known as “Pokemon,” the series began with the 1996 Game Boy titles Pokemon Red and Green, which became a huge hit. It expanded into trading card games, TV anime, and movies, becoming a globally beloved franchise. The TV anime that started in 1997 continues to run after 25 years. In April 2023, a new series began with dual protagonists Riko and Roy. The stop-motion animation “Pokemon Concierge,” co-produced by Netflix and Pokemon, is also streaming.
Uniqlo’s Pokemon UT Second Wave Arrives
To mark the milestone of Pokemon’s 30th anniversary in 2026, Uniqlo’s Pokemon UT second wave brings special designs featuring Pokemon and protagonists rendered in monochrome game pixel art, the series’ origin.

The second wave of Pokemon UT includes four designs in total. The Pokemon on the T-shirts have simple designs, making them easy to wear casually in daily life.
