“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, published by Shueisha under the Jump Comics label, with a cumulative circulation of over 220 million copies across all 23 volumes. The story follows a young boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose family is killed by demons. To turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and throws himself into battle against demons. The poignant tale of humans and demons, intense sword fights, charming characters, and occasional comedic scenes have won popularity.
ufotable is in charge of animation production, and the series has been expanding since the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc” in April 2019. The theatrical film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc” is being produced as a trilogy, with the first chapter “Infinity Castle Arc: First Chapter: Akaza’s Return” released on July 18, 2025, and its run ending on April 9 (except for some theaters). Over 266 days until April 9, it recorded 27,455,968 viewers and a box office revenue of 40.2 billion yen, ranking second in all-time domestic box office earnings following the previous film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.”
At this collaboration event, you can fully experience the world of the work, starting with the first chapter of the Infinity Castle arc.
To commemorate the event, five characters (Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Kanao Tsuyuri) have been newly illustrated by ufotable enjoying Hakone Kowakien. Additionally, as content unique to Yunessun, there will be collaboration baths and a collaboration sauna, as well as collaboration drinks and limited merchandise.
Furthermore, at the adjacent official hotel “The Hakone Hotel Kowakien,” a limited-edition collaboration room with exclusive novelties is planned, allowing guests to enjoy the world of “Demon Slayer” even more while staying overnight.
