The TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is introducing an original series of newly drawn merchandise called the “Chipokke Series”. Synk Innovation, a company specializing in the planning and manufacturing of character goods, has officially launched sales for this charming collection.

Originally a novel series by Hinata Natsu published under “Hero Bunko,” Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a palace mystery entertainment set within the inner palace. It follows Maomao, a young woman serving as a “tasting proxy” for poisons, as she solves intricate cases, often pushed into the work by the strikingly handsome eunuch, Jinshi. The series has also inspired two manga adaptations currently serialized in “Big Gangan” and “Gekkan Sunday GX.” The first season of the TV anime adaptation aired from October 2023, running for a total of 24 episodes. The story, filled with captivating mystery elements, garnered significant attention and even received special recognition like the “TVer Award 2023” Special Prize. The highly anticipated second season began airing consecutively for two cours starting January 10, 2025.
