The official website for the television anime adaptation of Tanba‘s Saikyou Degarashi Ouji no Anyaku Teii Arasoi: Munou wo Enjiru SS Rank Ouji wa Koui Keishousen wo Kage kara Shihai suru (also known as The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne) light novel announced a supporting pair of cast on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.
Voice actors Yuuki Kuwahara (29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou) and Masahiko Tanaka (Shinkalion: Change the World) are joining the cast as Krista Lakes Adler and Sebastian, respectively.

The anime is produced at Maho Film.
Tanba originally began writing the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2019. Kadokawa started printing the series under its Sneaker Bunko label with illustrations by Yuunagi in September 2019. The 16th volume went on sale on April 1, and the 17th volume is scheduled for release on July 1.
A manga adaptation drawn by Yukino Amagai began serialization in Young Ace UP digital magazine in December 2019. Kadokawa released the ninth compiled volume in November 2025.
Kadokawa simulpublishes both the light novel and manga in English on the Book☆Walker Global platform.
