A new figure of Asanagi Umi from Class de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onna no Ko to Tomodachi ni Natta (affectionately known as Kura ni Ka) is now available for pre-order. The figure captures the heroine in a playful, mischievous pose that fans are sure to love.
The series originated from Takata’s web novel, which won the Special Award in the Romantic Comedy category at the 6th Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest. It follows the story of Maeda Maki, a loner in his class, who unexpectedly becomes friends with the popular and attractive Asanagi Umi – a girl other boys whisper is “the second cutest girl in class.” The light novel series won the Grand Prize in the Bunko category of the “Next Light Novel 2023” awards, and the cumulative sales of the series (including the manga adaptation by Ono Rin) have surpassed 1 million copies.
This 1/7 scale figure of Asanagi Umi is based on a newly drawn illustration created specifically for this product. The distinctive highlights in her hair are recreated with delicate gradient painting, giving them a translucent, vibrant look. Her expression, looking directly at the viewer with a sly smile, is designed to make hearts skip a beat.
Small details are meticulously sculpted, including a B-movie DVD and a profile sheet peeking out of her school bag, perfectly conveying her character’s world. The figure also accentuates her healthy figure even through her blazer, and the flowing skirt and ribbon tie add dynamic movement. It’s a piece that captures the special, secret friendship between the two characters.
The standard version of the figure is priced at 23,100 yen (tax included). A KADOKAWA Special Set is also available for 25,850 yen (tax included), which includes a bonus winking face part (an alternative expression part) and a B2 tapestry featuring the newly drawn illustration. The winking face part is also available as a bonus at Kadokawa Store for those who prefer the standard set.
Pre-orders close on July 8, 2026, and the figure is scheduled to ship in February 2027.
