New Goods Featuring Ijima & Taki Isamu, Who Appeared in “Natsume Yuujinchou Shi” (Season 7)! Also Nyanko-sensei, Natori, Matoba, and More Released
New merchandise featuring characters who appeared in the seventh season of the TV anime Natsume Yuujinchou is set to be released around early August 2025.
Natsume Yuujinchou is a mysterious ayakashi contract story based on the manga by Midorikawa Yuki, serialized in “Gekkan LaLa”.
Holding the secret that he “can see yokai,” the lonely boy Natsume Takashi became pursued by yokai after inheriting the “Yuujinchou,” a memento from his grandmother Reiko, who possessed powerful spiritual energy. Natsume spends his busy days alongside his self-proclaimed bodyguard, Nyanko-sensei, revolving around the “contracts” his grandmother made with the yokai.
The TV anime series began airing with its first season in 2008 and has since broadcast up to its sixth season. Kamiya Hiroshi voices the protagonist Natsume, and Inoue Kazuhiko voices Nyanko-sensei. A movie featuring the first original long-form episode of the series was released in September 2018, and in January 2021, two short fan-favorite episodes were screened for a limited time in theaters. The seventh season, Natsume Yuujinchou Shi, aired starting October 7, 2024.
Now, new merchandise has been announced featuring the main characters of Natsume Yuujinchou—Natsume Takashi, Nyanko-sensei, Tanuma Kaname, Taki Toru, Natori Syuichi, and Matoba Seiji—as well as Ijima and Taki Isamu, who appeared in the seventh season. The lineup includes “Hologram Acrylic Stand mini,” “Trading Hologram Can Badge,” “Trading Hologram Acrylic Key Holder,” “Acrylic Block Figure,” and “Panel Stand mini.”
It’s great that there’s a variety of designs, including items using scenes from the show, illustrations of Natsume and Nyanko-sensei getting along, and adorable mini characters.
These items are planned to be sold at anime goods specialty stores and online shops.
