In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Yuu☆Gi☆Ou Duel Monsters, Onkyo is releasing a collaboration model of their truly wireless earphones, the “CP-TWS01E”. This special edition features the iconic Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Aoki Me no Hakuryuu) on the charging case and is loaded with new voice recordings by Tsuda Kenjirou, the voice of Kaiba Seto! Pre-orders for this must-have item for duelists will begin on June 6, 2025, at 15:00 JST for a limited time via build-to-order sales.
Yuu☆Gi☆Ou Duel Monsters is an anime adaptation of Takahashi Kazuki’s representative manga, Yuu☆Gi☆Ou, which was serialized in “Shuukan Shounen Jump” from 1996 to 2004. The story follows the game-loving protagonist, Mutou Yuugi, who houses the soul of a king sealed within the Millennium Puzzle. He battles against numerous rivals, including Kaiba Seto, through intense card duels known as “Duel Monsters”. The anime adaptation was produced by Gallop, directed by Sugishima Kunihisa, and aired from April 2000 to September 2004, spanning a total of 224 episodes.
To celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary, this collaboration model is designed with key elements from the show. The top of the charging case proudly displays the magnificent Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Aoki Me no Hakuryuu). The left and right earbud housings feature icons symbolizing Kaiba Seto.
A major highlight of these earphones is the inclusion of brand new voice guidance recorded by Tsuda Kenjirou, the voice actor for Kaiba Seto. You can enjoy iconic lines such as “Koi! Ore no tamashii, Aoki Me no Hakuryuu!” (Come forth! My soul, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!) and “Iku zo! Ore no Taan!” (Here I go! My turn!) during various actions like powering on/off, pairing, and tapping. There are a total of 13 distinct voice lines to enjoy. As a special purchase bonus, customers will receive one of three types of original design can badges.
The collaboration earphones are priced at 20,000 yen, including tax and shipping (note: shipping is separate for orders from the KAIBA CORPORATION STORE website). Pre-orders will be open for a limited time, starting from June 6, 2025, at 15:00 JST until August 1, 2025, at 15:00 JST.
