Disney+ and Hulu Japan Cross-Stream Exclusive Originals Including Park Seong-hoo’s BULLET/BULLET

Walt Disney Japan and HJ Holdings, the operator of Hulu in Japan, have launched a new partnership that will allow subscribers to access each other’s exclusive original series for a limited period of six months. The initiative aims to broaden viewers’ exposure to content they may not have encountered before, offering a richer entertainment experience.

Under this arrangement, Hulu’s exclusive lineup contributes the survival love story Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni (Season 1), starring Takeuchi Ryoma, and the sci-fi mystery Pandora no Kajitsu ~Kagaku Hanzai Sousa File~ (Season 1), starring Dean Fujioka. From Disney+, the social-political drama series Fukurou to Yobareta Otoko, co-starring Tanaka Min and Arata Mackenyu, and the fully original anime BULLET/BULLET from internationally acclaimed director Park Seong-hoo are included.

Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni (Season 1)
Produced jointly by Nippon TV and Hulu, this is an extreme survival love story. On the day of his proposal, young man Hibiki Mamoru (Takeuchi Ryoma) gets trapped in a tunnel collapse. When he manages to escape, the world has completely changed – streets in ruin, countless bodies, and wandering undead. Searching desperately for his girlfriend Kurumi (Nakajima Ayami), he finds a quarantined zone and a handful of survivors. Are they allies to survive together, or…?

Pandora no Kajitsu ~Kagaku Hanzai Sousa File~ (Season 1)
Another Nippon TV and Hulu co-production, this SF mystery follows police bureaucrat Kohirui Yuichi (Dean Fujioka), who lost his beloved wife, and his partner, genius scientist Mogami Yukiko (Kishii Yukino), along with former detective Hasebe Tsutomu (Yusuke Santa Maria). They investigate crimes entwined with cutting-edge science. The series is directed by Hasumi Eiichiro (known for Umizaru and MOZU), based on Nakamura Kei’s novel SCIS Kagaku Hanzai Sousa Ban ~Tensai Kagakusha Mogami Yukiko no Chousen~.

Fukurou to Yobareta Otoko
A Disney+ original political drama that delves into the underbelly of the nation’s taboos. The fixer known as the “Owl,” Oogami Ryutaro, is played by internationally acclaimed dancer and actor Tanaka Min. His son, Oogami Ryu, who champions justice from an opposite perspective, is played by Arata Mackenyu, active both in Japan and overseas.

BULLET/BULLET
The first full original anime from visionary director Park Seong-hoo, who has captivated global audiences with his explosive action and animation. After a decade of conceptualization, the story follows thieves who accidentally steal a world “secret” and get caught up in flashy battles, breathtaking car chases, and shocking revelations. As the full truth emerges, the thieves risk everything to change the world.
