Love and Deepspace: Terashima Junta Takes Over Rey’s Japanese Voice, Existing Lines to Be Replaced

The female-oriented romance simulation game Love and Deepspace (恋と深空) has announced that voice actor Terashima Junta will take over the Japanese voice role for the character Rey. The change comes after Satou Takuya’s departure was previously disclosed in March.

Love and Deepspace is a romance simulation game that has surpassed 70 million users worldwide. Developed by Papergames under its global brand Infold Games, the title launched on January 18, 2024, as a completely new romance simulation game inheriting the world view of Love and Producer. It is known for its immersive first-person perspective, realistic romance interaction systems, and a wide variety of content offering a love experience more beautiful than reality.

Voice replacement schedule

According to the official announcement, new and rerun content added from June 2026 onward will feature Terashima’s newly recorded voice for Rey. The existing in-game voice lines will also be gradually replaced, starting from late August 2026.

The operator commented: “We will continue to strive to deliver high-quality content to everyone. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may cause to our hunters.”

Previous announcement and fan reactions

In March, the official account stated that Satou Takuya was leaving the role effective June 7, 2026, due to the expiration of his contract and mutual agreement.

On social media, reactions ranged from surprise at the replacement of existing voices to expressions of sadness: “I wanted to keep hearing Satou Takuya’s voice,” and “I hope something like this doesn’t happen again.” At the same time, some fans voiced support for the new Rey: “I want to cheer for the new Rey too,” and “I hope the transition goes well.”
