A new stationery series celebrating the 30th anniversary of Tamagotchi is arriving in late May 2026 at general merchandise stores, stationery shops, and online retailers across Japan.

The Tamagotchi digital pet was first released by Bandai on November 23, 1996, sparking a massive craze among high school girls. It returned in 2004 with infrared communication as Kaettekita! Tamagotchi Plus, and has since expanded worldwide with new features. As of July 2025, cumulative global shipments had reached 100 million units.
This new stationery lineup commemorates the 30th anniversary, bringing together characters from the original Tamagotchi all the way to the latest Paradise series. The designs show Tamagotchi characters traveling from the Tamagotchi Planet to Earth (Ji・Āsu) in quirky UFOs and rockets, having fun and making detours along the way.
