The 10th anniversary celebration for the anime Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan is in full swing. This time, the non-credit opening sequences for both the first and second seasons have been released for free viewing on the ShoPro YouTube channel.
Free Streaming of Opening Animations
Based on the gag manga by Asou Shuuichi serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, the series first aired in 2016 and has sold over 9 million copies in print. The newly posted openings include:
- Season 1 first cour: Hanae Natsuki – “Seishun wa Zankoku janai” (Nippon Columbia)
- Season 1 second cour: Dempagumi.inc – “Sai Ψ Sai Kouchou!” (Toys Factory)
- Season 2 first cour: Saikick Lover feat. Saiki Kusuo (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi), Nendou Riki (CV: Ono Daisuke), Kaidou Shun (CV: Shimazaki Nobunaga) – “Ψ Rent Prisoner” (Nippon Columbia)
- Season 2 second cour: Shiggy Jr. – “Oteage Psychics” (Victor Entertainment)
Additionally, the non-credit ending videos for both seasons are scheduled to be released on June 8.
10th Anniversary Fan Voting Campaign
A “Ψ (Psy) Recommended Episode” voting project is currently underway on the anime’s 10th anniversary special site. Fans can choose from all 280 episodes. The top 10 episodes will be announced on August 6, the birthday of heroine Teruhashi Kokomi. On August 16, Saiki Kusuo’s birthday, the top 3 episodes from each extra category will be revealed.
The top 3 overall episodes and the first-place entry from each category will be made available for free on the Jump Channel. Merchandise such as online lottery prizes is also planned for the top-ranking episodes.
