The official website for the Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers television anime has announced additional cast members, a key visual, theme song details, and a promotional video for the second part. Part two is scheduled to premiere on July 7 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by Kansai TV and BS11.

J-pop band Dannie May (Tsuihousha Shokudou e Youkoso!) performs the opening theme “Bad Idenshi,” which is previewed in the promotional video. Karanoah (Gachiakuta) performs the ending theme “Bakemon.”

Fujita Youichi (Gintama) directs the anime at Sunrise. Mutou Shougo (Biohazard: Infinite Darkness) handles series composition and script, while Murota Yuuhei (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san) designs the characters. Katayama Shuuji (Overlord) composes the music.
Background
The original television anime aired in 39 episodes from Spring 1998 to Winter 1989. Three original anime sequels were released, with the latest five-episode OVA debuting in 1991. A manga adaptation by Yatate Hajime and Hoshino Ryuuichi began serialization in Comic Bonbon in 1988, with Kodansha publishing the second and final volume in 1989.
