A life-size gold statue of Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken is now on display at the “Dai Ogon Ten” (Grand Gold Exhibition) running from June 3 to June 8, 2026, at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store.

The original manga by writer Buronson and artist Tetsuo Hara ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988, and was adapted into a TV anime in 1984. The franchise has continued with various media expansions, including the new anime series Hokuto no Ken -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR- announced for 2026.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a life-size gold statue of Kenshiro standing 1.93 meters tall. The statue uses 1,500 sheets of gold leaf and carries a reference price of 44,000,000 yen. It aims to capture the quiet fighting spirit of Kenshiro surviving the post-apocalyptic wasteland, along with the pinnacle of Hokuto Shinken, rendered in dazzling gold.

Alongside the large statue, a solid gold figurine titled “K24 Hokuto no Ken Kenshiro” is also being sold. This piece is approximately 11 centimeters tall and priced at 5,368,000 yen (tax included). While not as eye-watering as the life-size version, it still commands a significant price tag, so interested buyers are advised to consider carefully before purchasing.
