Preorders Open for Chogeki-Zo Series D-Zo Godzilla (2023) from Godzilla Minus One
Bandai’s official online shop Premium Bandai is now accepting preorders for the “Chogeki-Zo Series D-Zo Godzilla (2023)” in both regular and limited editions. Each edition is priced at 17,600 yen (tax included), with shipments scheduled for December 2026.
Godzilla Minus One (released in Japan as Gojira -1.0) was produced in 2023 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise. The film tells the story of humans struggling to survive after a devastated post-World War II Japan is suddenly confronted by Godzilla. Domestically, it earned over 7.6 billion yen at the box office and became a worldwide hit. It also made history as the first Japanese or Asian film to win the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 96th Academy Awards. A sequel, Godzilla -0.0, directed by Yamazaki Takashi, is scheduled for release on November 3, 2026.
Compact Yet Highly Detailed Design
The “Chogeki-Zo Series D-Zo Godzilla (2023)” is the first item in the new “D-Zo” line under the Chogeki-Zo series. Despite being a deformed (super-deformed) figure, it faithfully reproduces the meticulous sculpting that characterized the Chogeki-Zo brand.
This first release brings to life the Godzilla (2023) design from the movie Godzilla Minus One. Two versions are available: the regular edition and a limited edition featuring glowing dorsal fins and tail fins.
