Sega’s high-speed racing game Sonic Racing CrossWorld is set to receive a Season Pass 2 starting autumn 2026, bringing six new DLC packs. The first two packs will be blockbuster collaborations with Godzilla and Evangelion, respectively, offering players the chance to race through worlds inspired by the King of the Monsters and the iconic mecha anime.
Sonic Racing CrossWorld is developed by Sega’s elite racing game team. The game delivers unpredictable races across land, sea, and air, with courses that change dynamically every lap, keeping players on their toes.
Boasting a roster of over 50 racers—the largest in the series’ history—the game already features an array of DLC guest characters including Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona 5 Royal, Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza, and characters from Minecraft, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pac-Man, Mega Man, and more. Players can equip their vehicles with over 100 different “Gadgets” that grant special abilities, allowing customized strategies and playstyles. Online play supports cross-platform multiplayer for up to 12 players, with modes such as World Match, Festa (team challenges with special rules), and Time Trial.
Recently, a “SGF trailer” was released showcasing the roadmap for upcoming collaboration DLC. Season Pass 2 will include a total of six new packs, with the first being the Godzilla collaboration and the second being the Evangelion collaboration. Specific details on the content of each pack have yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the currently active Season Pass continues to roll out content. The fifth DLC pack, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pack,” is scheduled for July, and the sixth pack, “Avatar Legends Pack,” will follow in October. More information on both packs is available.
