The official website for the Cyborg 009: Nemesis anime announced additional cast members and a new character visual on Friday. The series, which adapts Ishinomori Shoutarou’s action sci-fi manga, will begin streaming in Summer 2026.

Staff
Anbo Hideki (Yakitori) is directing the anime at ARECT. Tomioka Atsuhiro (Fairy Tail: 100-nen Quest) and Charatex are penning the script, and sanorin (Boku no Kanojo wa Dekkawaii manga) is designing the characters.
Background
Ishinomori Shoutarou launched the manga in Weekly Shounen King in July 1964. It ran in multiple magazines and concluded regular serialization in Weekly Shounen Sunday in 1981. Toei Animation produced the first television anime in 1968, followed by a second adaptation in 1979 and a 50-episode third adaptation from Fall 2001 to Fall 2002. The manga also inspired anime movies in 1966, 1967, 1980, and 2012, and the Cyborg 009: Call of Justice trilogy premiered in Japan from November to December 2016.
