Step Onto the Court in Y2K Style! 『Kuroko no Basuke』 KUROCORZET meets Y2K Series Announced
Fans of the popular TV anime 『Kuroko no Basuke』, get ready! A new series of apparel items and goods is here from the character image apparel brand “KUROCORZET”. The latest line, titled “KUROCORZET meets Y2K”, features characters like Kuroko Tetsuya reimagined in vibrant and trendy Y2K fashion. These items are now available for pre-order on the character goods shop “BanColle!”.
Based on the basketball manga by Fujimaki Tadatoshi, which ran in “Shuukan Shounen Jump” from 2009 to 2014, 『Kuroko no Basuke』 first premiered as a TV anime in 2012. The five geniuses of the powerhouse Teikou Junior High basketball club were called the “Kiseki no Sedai”. But, there was a phantom sixth man in the “Kiseki no Sedai”――. In the new school year, Kuroko Tetsuya joined the Seirin High School basketball club. He was precisely the phantom sixth man of Teikou Junior High, specializing in pass plays unnoticed by the opponent.
The sight of protagonist Kuroko Tetsuya, Kagami Taiga, and other richly individual members competing against rival schools quickly gained popularity, and the TV anime aired for three seasons starting in April 2012. Afterwards, 『Gekijouban Kuroko no Basuke LAST GAME』, based on “Kuroko no Basuke EXTRA GAME” published in “Shounen Jump NEXT!!”, was released in 2017.
This time, Kuroko Tetsuya, Kagami Taiga, Kise Ryouta, Midorima Shintarou, Aomine Daiki, Murasakibara Atsushi, and Akashi Seijuurou are appearing in the new “KUROCORZET” series. In the newly unveiled “KUROCORZET meets Y2K” series, the characters are sporting colorful and POP Y2K fashion in their respective styles.
Newly drawn illustrations capturing a side of them not seen during games or practice are used, and accessory items such as the “Garakee Charm” and “Shopper-style Drawstring Pouch”, designed with unique Y2K motifs, are available. The lineup also includes collection staples like “Acrylic Stands”, “Aurora Can Badges” inspired by a metallic Y2K texture, and “Clear Cards with Neck Straps” finished with a glossy aurora-like feel. Pay close attention to the characters’ expressions, which are different from their game faces.
