The beloved magical girl series Minky Momo is making a grand comeback after 32 years. A brand-new OVA titled Mahou no Princess Minky Momo: Akogare no Yume e – Magokoro no Duo has been announced, and with it comes a vibrant main visual, a teaser trailer, and the reveal of the main cast.

Produced by Ashi Productions to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the OVA will hit theaters on November 13, 2026, starting at Shinjuku Wald 9 and rolling out nationwide. The story follows Momo and her three animal companions as they help children’s dreams come true to save the dreamland “Dejinasaa.”

The main visual features a bright blue sky and vast ocean, with Momo holding her magic wand. Her companions—the dog Dettabook, the monkey Chamocha, and the bird Pipiru—soar through the air. A grand piano in the center hints at the “duo of sincerity” referenced in the title, with musical notes and dreams flowing from it.
The teaser trailer opens with the iconic spell “Prirura Prirura Dejirinpa Doririmu Doririmu Dejippa” and showcases energetic scenes of Momo and her friends on their quest.
Cast Revealed
The main cast for the OVA has been announced:
- Momo / Minky Momo: Youki Kurumi
- Dettabook: Ochiai Fukushi
- Chamocha: Fujiwara Natsumi
- Pipiru: Kugimiya Rie
Youki commented, “As one Momo, I cherished the straightforward feeling of believing in dreams and played Momo with all my might. I hope to deliver dreams and courage to everyone’s hearts through this work.”
Ochiai expressed his joy: “Being able to breathe in the world of Minky Momo that I watched as a child is such a happy thing! I will firmly support Minky Momo together with Pipiru and Chamocha.”
Fujiwara said, “With dreams as a central theme, this work made me realize many things myself. Above all, I felt excited! I hope that excitement reaches your hearts too.”
Kugimiya added, “Pipiru is a cute and cheeky little bird who loves Momo. It was a very fun character to play. The work is filled with wonderful essences—please look forward to the theatrical release!”
