Bungou Stray Dogs: Photo Session Goods & Animate Fair Announced!
Get ready, Bungou Stray Dogs fans! New goods featuring Nakajima Atsushi and Dazai Osamu, alongside other characters, are set to arrive, themed around a “photo session” where they’re holding cameras. These items, including acrylic stands, are scheduled for release starting August 9, 2025.
The series Bungou Stray Dogs is an 異能 (inō) battle action manga where characters named after real-life literary masters, such as Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, and Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, take center stage. Created by original author Asagiri Kafka and artist Harukawa 35, it began serialization in “Young Ace” in 2012. The related books have surpassed a cumulative total of 16 million copies as of February 2025.
The TV anime first aired its 1st Season in 2016 and has since broadcast a total of five seasons. Beyond the anime, the series has expanded into various media mix projects, including stage plays. In 2022, the first live-action film, Bungou Stray Dogs BEAST, was released. With the “10th Anniversary of the Anime Adaptation” approaching in April 2026, twelve “Pre-Anniversary Projects” have commenced to celebrate the year leading up to the milestone.
The new lineup features eight characters enjoying a photo session with cameras in hand: Nakajima Atsushi, Dazai Osamu, Edogawa Ranpo, Fyoodor D, Nikolai G, Sigma, Jouno Saigiku, and Suehiro Tecchou.
The goods include staple items like “Acrylic Stands,” “Character Badge Collections” perfect for attaching to bags, “Clear Files” for everyday use, and decorative items such as “Mini Shikishi Collections” and “Acrylic Art Panels” to adorn your room.
Furthermore, starting from the release date on August 9, the “Bungou Stray Dogs Photo Session Fair ~TAKE 1~” will be held at Animate stores nationwide and the Animate online shop.
During the fair period until August 31, for every 1,100 yen (tax included) spent on related goods (including reservations with a deposit), or for each book, CD, Blu-ray, or DVD purchased or reserved (with a deposit of 1,100 yen or more required), you will receive one random “Bromide” (from a selection of 8 types) as a special bonus.
