YOASOBI’s “UNDEAD,” the theme song for the anime Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season, has reached a new milestone. The music video has surpassed 100 million cumulative views on YouTube, the duo announced.
The track was created based on two short stories written by Nisio Isin specifically for the anime: “Nadeko Past” and “Shinobu Future.” The music video features a special edit combining cuts from the anime’s main episodes and its ending sequence, drawing strong reactions from fans immediately after its release.
Since its debut, “UNDEAD” has sparked a dance challenge on short video platforms, with total related video views—including user-generated content on TikTok—reaching 9 billion. In 2025, the song was also used in a commercial for the “YOASOBEER PROJECT,” a collaboration between YOASOBI and Suntory Beer, further boosting its popularity. Nearly two years after its release, the song continues to be loved by listeners.

YOASOBI’s 4th EP, THE BOOK for, which includes “UNDEAD,” is set for release on June 26, 2026, as a limited edition. Priced at 6,600 yen (tax incl.), the EP will also feature a new song created in collaboration with the globally popular game Overwatch. Preorders are being accepted at Sony Music Shop, TOWER RECORDS, Amazon.co.jp, and other retailers.
YOASOBI has an overwhelming track record both in Japan and abroad. Their debut song “Yoru ni Kakeru” became the first in history to surpass 12 billion streams. In 2023, their opening theme for the TV anime Oshi no Ko, “Idol,” broke the record for consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Japan and also topped the Billboard Global Chart, setting a series of firsts for J-POP.

Looking ahead, YOASOBI has announced the “YOASOBI ASIA 10-CITY DOME & STADIUM TOUR 2026-2027,” covering five domestic cities and five Asian cities. Domestic shows will be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Daiwa House Premist Dome (Hokkaido), Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka, and Tokyo Dome. Tickets are priced at 14,000 yen (tax incl.) for reserved seats, with the official second advance lottery open until June 21 (Sunday) at 23:59.
With what is set to be the largest-scale Asia tour by a Japanese artist, YOASOBI’s global presence continues to expand.
