About Kinnikuman
Kinnikuman is a martial arts manga created by Yudetamago, the collaborative duo of scenario writer Shimada Takashige and manga artist Nakai Yoshinori. It began serialization in “Shuukan Shounen Jump” in 1979. The story follows Kinnikuman, a clumsy and foolish low-ranking chojin (superhuman) from Planet Kinniku, who grows into the strongest man in the chojin martial arts world through effort, friendship, and victory. The manga is currently serialized in “Shuukan Playboy” and “Shuu Play NEWS,” boasting over 77 million copies in print. The anime adaptation began airing in 1983 and became a major boom, notably with “Kinkeshi” (Kinniku Erasers), a popular series that has sold over 180 million units.
The new anime series, Kinnikuman: Kanpeki Choujin Shiso-hen (The Perfect Chojin Origin Arc), aired Season 1 from July to September 2024 and Season 2 from January to March 2025. This adaptation continues the story from the previously animated Kinniku-sei Ooi Sodatsu-hen (The Kinniku Star Throne Contest Arc), depicting the highly popular “Kanpeki Choujin Shiso-hen” arc from the original manga.

About Hokuto no Ken
Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) is a manga serialized in “Shuukan Shounen Jump” from 1983 to 1988, with original story by Buronson and manga by Hara Tetsuo. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has collapsed after a nuclear war and violence reigns supreme, the story follows Kenshiro, the successor to Hokuto Shinken, as he grows into a savior bearing love and sorrow.
The TV anime aired for a total of 152 episodes across two series starting in October 1984. It quickly gained immense popularity due to its numerous famous lines, breathtaking action scenes featuring various martial arts, and captivating characters like Raou, the eldest of the Hokuto four brothers and Kenshiro’s nemesis. It sparked a social phenomenon, leading to movie adaptations and spin-off manga featuring supporting characters. Even 40 years after its broadcast began, it continues to enjoy strong popularity. To commemorate the manga’s 40th anniversary in September 2023, production of a new anime series, Hokuto no Ken -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR- has also been decided.
