The TV anime adaptation of Muchimaro’s Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! began on October 3, 2026 at 24:30, and Episode 1 has aired. The first episode features the segments ‘Osugaki ni mo Ana wa Arun da yo na…’ and ‘Kaichou wa Ume-kun ni Morawaremashita.’

Serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! is a love comedy set in the student council of Private Fujinari Gakuen. First-year high school student Mizunoe Ume ends up joining a council filled with eccentric members: a charismatic taciturn type, a scary-but-kind and neat treasurer, a cheeky cute boy, and a tiny abandoned-cat general affairs member.
A Simple Opening and Official Reactions
To mark the broadcast, official SNS shared an illustration by the original creator, raising anticipation. The opening video’s simple presentation quickly sparked online chatter, with viewers asking whether it was a refreshing OP, a version that changes character scenes, an unfinished OP, or one censored for being too lewd.
The opening theme is Sangatsu no Phantasia’s ‘Kaze no Naka wa Hashirukkyanai!’ Official SNS introduced the video as ‘~Fujinari Gakuen e Youkoso ver.~,’ suggesting that different versions may appear in the future.
Ume’s Recruitment: A Suspicious Path to Better Grades
In the first segment, ‘Osugaki ni mo Ana wa Arun da yo na…,’ Ume is called to the staff room. Hiratsuka Toshimi, the grade-level head and homeroom teacher of Class 2, praises Ume’s Japanese grades but warns that his science subjects are disastrous enough to affect promotion. Hiratsuka suggests Ume join the student council to improve his internal assessment, using sweet phrases about skyrocketing grades and a winning youth life.
In reality, the council apparently has an opening. Hiratsuka explains this while smoking with a cigarette in her mouth, prompting comments such as ‘Smoking in front of students lol’ and ‘This season’s yani anime.’
Meeting the Student Council
Ume goes to the student council room, where second-year Terui Arisu welcomes him. Ume calls her ‘senpai,’ and Terui blushes; Ume thinks she is cute and feels relieved that the council may not be so bad after all, though Terui might be a little unusual.
A small girl appears, asking if Ume is new and immediately touching him casually. When her chest is briefly visible, Ume is accused: ‘Yes, out! You looked, didn’t you?! That gaze was at nipples, right?!’ A bandage covers the spot, leading to comments like ‘Chiku B bandage,’ ‘regulation bandage,’ and ‘show me.’ The anime has a TV broadcast version, plus an uncensored version limited to AT-X and some streaming services.
Ume is suspected of peeping. The girl threatens, ‘Since you did it, you have something to give, right? First offense discount, 5,000 yen…’ But Terui explains that the student council has a habit of catching men, chronically. Then comes the shock: ‘I’ll introduce you. This is Tan-chan of public relations. Despite appearances, he is a human male.’
Ume and viewers are briefly confused, but Tan-chan, whose full name is Otori Tan, looks like a cute girl yet is biologically male.
My Panties!? The President Appears
After Tan is kicked by Terui and vomits blood, Ume is asked to clean the dirty floor. His first job is cleaning up after a pervert. Terui also hands him bear-patterned panties to wipe with, adding another surprise. The owner of the panties then appears. Terui explains, ‘That is a lost item I picked up yesterday,’ and the owner starts washing the dirty panties.
Terui introduces her: ‘The breasts washing panties over there are the student council president. She looks like that, but she is good at both literary and military arts, and has deep popularity. She is an amazing person.’ The president is Kotobuki Hisako, also called Hisako-chan. Online viewers commented, ‘Panties-washing breasts lol,’ ‘She gives the impression of being proper as student council president,’ and ‘Even while washing panties, the president is excellent…’ After finishing, she properly explains the council’s duties to Ume. Ume, good at Japanese, becomes the secretary.
The Second Segment: The President Was Adopted by Ume-kun
The second episode segment is ‘Kaichou wa Ume-kun ni Morawaremashita.’ It begins with a student council greeting activity, a belongings inspection, and an unexpected failure by the student council president at the all-school assembly.
The adaptation carefully structures the original 4-koma manga. Online comments included: ‘It feels like a long-awaited anime adaptation. It was fun,’ ‘They mixed manga chapters 1 and 2 well and ended the A part,’ and ‘It was a good first episode.’ Others said: ‘There were many good fetish angles, a very good adaptation,’ ‘As a manga reader, I’m honestly surprised it really got adapted lol,’ ‘Somehow, it was a lewd work of a kind you can watch with peace of mind!,’ and ‘Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! was a stable adaptation, fun and enjoyable.’
Ending Theme and Broadcast Details
The ending video is also available. Its video is described as ‘~Yama ari tani ari, ana mo ari Ver.~,’ so version differences may appear just like the OP. The ending theme is Nanawo Akari’s ‘Pi.’ One viewer said, ‘The video is so shocking that the song doesn’t sink in!’
The TV anime airs every Saturday at 24:30 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV. AT-X broadcasts the uncensored version every Tuesday at 23:30. Streaming begins terrestrial-simultaneous and earliest on d Anime Store and AnimeFesta, with other platforms following sequentially.
