Sanrio character Pochacco is getting his own themed cafe once again. The “POCHACCO CAFE” will open for a limited time in Tokyo and Osaka starting July 2, 2026. The cafe features a monochrome color scheme accented with refreshing blue and green tones, and a waiter-style Pochacco will greet guests at the entrance.
Pochacco made his Sanrio debut in 1989. The character is described as a curious, slightly clumsy, and a bit nosy male dog who loves taking detours on his walks. He enjoyed a remarkable five-year winning streak in the Sanrio Character Ranking from 1991 to 1995, and remains a top contender, placing third in both the 2025 ranking and the 2026 midterm results.
Menu Highlights
The cafe’s menu is designed to be photogenic and stylish. Dishes include a plate inspired by the picture frames seen in the key visual’s background, black mushroom cream pasta, and crème brûlée.
For drinks, there is a lemon squash float topped with ice cream shaped like Pochacco’s face, as well as chocolate mint and other summer-perfect beverages.
Exclusive Merchandise
A range of cafe-original goods featuring newly drawn Pochacco artwork will be available, including die-cut stickers, magnets (random 5 types), acrylic keychains, teaspoons, acrylic mini dioramas, flat pouches, glasses, and sacoches. Additionally, there are reservation-exclusive benefits and menu purchase bonuses.
Guests can enjoy a cool, visually refreshing atmosphere while spending a relaxing time with Pochacco.

Reservations open on June 19 (Fri) at 12:00 JST via the official cafe website, with booking starting at 18:00 on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation fee is 600 yen (660 yen including tax) per person, and up to 4 seats can be booked per application. A reservation-exclusive bonus is included.
Online sales of cafe-original goods will also be available on the official site from July 2 (Thu) 12:00 to August 16 (Sun) 23:59.
