Madoka and Homura Take the Stage
Kaname Madoka and Akemi Homura, who have previously appeared at events like Animate Girls Festival 2025 and AnimeJapan 2026, made a lively entrance after a screening of the third trailer for Gekijouban Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
As the two were about to leave, Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, and Cure Arcana Shadow from Meitantei Precure! made a surprise entrance, greeted by enthusiastic applause.
A Magical Collaboration
Meitantei Precure! is the 23rd entry in the Precure series and the first to feature detective-themed heroines. Set in 1999, it follows Cure Answer and her friends as they solve mysteries. The collaboration was born from the shared theme of “transforming and doing your best.” Madoka and Homura were visibly delighted to meet their fellow magical friends.
For this special stage, the five characters performed the ending theme of Meitantei Precure!, “Naze? Nazo?! ANSWER.” Although Madoka and Homura had never danced before, their practice paid off with a perfectly synchronized performance that brought the crowd to a fever pitch.
The Precure side also shared updates: the TV anime airs every Sunday at 8:30 AM on ABC TV and TV Asahi, and a campaign titled “Cure Eclair no Shoutai wa Dare?” invites viewers to deduce the identity of a mysterious Precure. The event ended with a group photo.
