A new permanent area dedicated to the world of San-x characters, called “San-x Paradise,” will open at Fuji-Q Highland on August 1, 2026. The zone brings together beloved characters from the San-x Universe, including Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi, in a themed environment with rides, photo opportunities, games, shopping, and dining.
Rilakkuma’s Makumaku Sweets Viking
New Attractions
Two outdoor rides will debut at the opening. The first is “Rilakkuma’s Makumaku Sweets Viking,” a pendulum-style ride where guests board a sweet-filled boat and enjoy a sea voyage with Rilakkuma. The second is “Sumikko Gurashi’s Balloon Cupcake,” an aerial spinning ride that takes visitors on a sky-high ride aboard a balloon cupcake.
MEMORY STUDIO
Photo Studio
Inside the area, a greeting photo studio called “MEMORY STUDIO” will let fans take commemorative photos with Rilakkuma and Tokage dressed in special San-x Paradise costumes. The studio’s camera-themed exterior makes it a unique spot for a one-of-a-kind greeting experience.
Arcade Games
The “WAKUWAKU CARNIVAL” arcade game facility will feature ball-rolling games, hammer games, and more. Successful players can win original prizes.
Shop
The “Clover Palace Shop” will sell over 150 types of San-x Paradise exclusive merchandise, including character headbands, plush toys, keychains, and stationery. Visitors can wear their favorite items while exploring the park.

Cafe & Diner
The “San-x Paradise Cafe & Diner” will offer character-themed dishes such as Rilakkuma’s Makumaku Curry, Shirokuma’s White Stew, and Nyannyan Nyanco’s Strawberry Parfait. Drinks come with a random charm. The restaurant has 180 seats, including terrace and sofa seating, making it family-friendly.

Future Plans
An indoor attraction is also planned to open in autumn 2026 or later, with details to be announced. An opening ceremony will be held on the first day.
