About the Film
Released in 2016 as the 29th entry in the Godzilla series, Shin Godzilla was scripted and general-directed by Anno Hideaki, with Higuchi Shinji serving as director and special effects director. Under the tagline “Reality (Japan) vs. Fiction (Godzilla),” the film depicts the appearance of Godzilla as a “giant unidentified creature” in modern Japan, portrayed with overwhelming realism and unpredictable rapid pacing. It became a massive hit, grossing over 82 billion yen at the box office and winning seven awards at the 40th Japan Academy Prize, including Best Picture.

Standing approximately 14 cm tall with a roughly 2.5-head proportion, the figure condenses the intricate details of Godzilla (2016). Using the included power unit (requires 4 AA batteries, sold separately), the mouth, neck, dorsal fins, tail fins, and tail tip light up.
The tail fins feature a relay glow gimmick, allowing you to recreate the scene of Godzilla firing its heat ray from the tail tip during the Yashiori Operation. Preorders are open until July 12, 2026 (Sunday) at 23:00, so interested fans should act quickly.
