The TV anime Ao Ashi Season 2 has unveiled the main visual for its first cour, bringing together the A-Team members of Tokyo City Esperion Youth. Alongside the visual, the opening and ending theme artists have been announced: 10-FEET will perform the OP, while Higuchi Ai will handle the ED. Cast members also shared comments about the upcoming season.
Based on the soccer manga by Yuugo Kobayashi, serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2015, Ao Ashi follows middle schooler Ashito Aoi from Ehime Prefecture who is scouted by Tokyo City Esperion’s youth team coach Tatsuya Fukuda. After passing the selection, Ashito moves to Tokyo and strives to become a professional soccer player, experiencing setbacks and growth. The first season aired from April to September 2022, earning praise for its realistic soccer depiction and relatable character development.
The new visual centers on Ashito Aoi, now promoted to the A-Team, alongside Nagisa Akutsu, Haruhisa Kuribayashi, Yuma Motoki, Taira Nakamura, Youichi Kirigi, Eita Takasugi, and Enshin Akiyama. It hints at the intense competition and new encounters awaiting Ashito as he continues his journey.

Ao Ashi Season 2 will begin airing on NHK Eテレ from October 4, 2026, every Sunday at 5:00 PM. The first cour comprises the first 12 episodes of the planned 24-episode season.
