Pre-registration for the new smartphone game BanG Dream! Our Notes began worldwide on June 26, 2026. During the special program “Our Notes Pre-Registration Commemorative Special” streamed the same day, a wealth of new information was unveiled, including a brand-new key visual.
The limited pre-registration key visual is a newly drawn illustration that evokes the beginning of the stories of five bands. By deliberately using a white background, it expresses the future of the girls, which has yet to be colored. The composition shows each band facing a different direction while still being aware of each other’s presence.
The game system will feature three play modes: “Live2D Mode,” which recreates the atmosphere of a real live performance on stage; “MV Mode,” where players can enjoy familiar 2D and 3D music videos as backgrounds; and “Lightweight Mode,” which minimizes effects to provide an environment where players can focus on the game.
A party battle mode called “Gekisou Live” for up to five players is also included. During a live, three “Gekisou” sections occur, and score bonuses are added based on rankings in these sections. Three modes appear randomly: “COMBO Gekisou” (competing on combo count), “LUCK Gekisou” (competing on lottery results when a gauge is full), and “JUST Gekisou” (competing on judgment accuracy).
For players who are not confident in rhythm games, an “Assist Mode” will be available. Flick operations become effective just by touching, and the assist strength automatically adjusts according to the player’s skill, making it easier to keep combos. In addition, the customization options in the settings are planned to be greatly expanded.
At official release, the initial lineup of songs will include over 70 tracks, both original and covers. In the ongoing closed beta test, original songs by millsage and Ikkadumb Rock! will be added from June 27 at 15:00.
millsage’s “Kishikaisen” and Ikkadumb Rock!’s “Homy Tights!!” will also have 3D animated music videos, produced by Nichika Line, who has handled previous BanG Dream! animations and MVs. Additionally, the MV for MyGO!!!!!’s BanG Dream! Our Notes theme song “Shoumei Sanka” has been confirmed.
The game’s formation system and card illustrations for some members were also revealed for the first time. There are two card types: “Member” and “Snap,” which can be combined according to song and event types to boost scores. The highest rarity SSR Members feature animated effects on the gacha screen and rhythm game screen. During the program, illustrations for “SSR Tomori Takamatsu,” “SSR Oblivionis / Togawa Sakiko,” and “SSR Doloris / Mitsuzuka Uika” were announced.
In the cinematic story part, character motion and camera work have been enhanced, allowing players to feel as if they have stepped into a scene from a movie or anime. In special scenes, animation plays seamlessly.
The stories of MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Yumekanda Myuutype can be relived from a game-unique perspective, and extra stories depicting what happens after the anime are also included. For millsage and Ikkadumb Rock!, who appear for the first time in this title, completely new stories will unfold.
A moving home screen called “Immersive Home” is also featured. Scenes are unlocked as the story and events progress, and touching characters allows players to enjoy conversations. At launch, 36 types will be obtainable, with more added after release.
millsage and Ikkadumb Rock! have opened official YouTube channels and official X accounts. Their first singles will be released simultaneously on September 30: millsage’s “Narasu” and Ikkadumb Rock!’s “Peaceful Pieces!” as title tracks.
Their first solo live performances have also been decided: millsage on December 25 at Spotify O-WEST, and Ikkadumb Rock! on December 12 at duo MUSIC EXCHANGE.
In addition, three major campaigns to commemorate the start of pre-registration, a follow campaign on the game’s official X account, the release of animated commercials for each band, overseas closed beta tests, and participation in overseas exhibitions were announced. The BanG Dream! Our Notes pre-registration campaign site has also opened, building excitement for the new title.
