The experiential exhibition “Not Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition” has revealed details of its original merchandise. The event will be held from July 10 to September 6, 2026 at the newly opened YURAKUCHO MUSEUM in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
Pingu is a stop-motion animation created by Swiss filmmaker Otmar Gutmann. A test film that served as the prototype for Pingu was made in 1980, and 2025 marked the 45th anniversary. Since 1990, the TV series has aired in over 155 countries and regions, with the warm and humorous stories of the penguin boy Pingu and his friends beloved worldwide.
Exhibition Theme and Goods
The exhibition, which serves as the inaugural event for YURAKUCHO MUSEUM, takes an amusement park theme. It is an interactive experience where visitors can see, touch, and enjoy aspects of Pingu they may not have known before.
The museum shop will offer over 100 items, including goods that let you wear the “not just cute” Pingu encountered in the exhibition, as well as items to enjoy Pingu at home. Original products include plushies, a Yogibo sofa, and flight tags.
Customization and Collaboration
A highlight is a series that lets visitors enjoy a trendy customization experience. Choose your favorite Pingu and create your own original goods. Additionally, collaboration goods with miniature photographer and diorama artist Tanaka Tatsuya will be available. These special items use Tanaka’s artwork, which will be shown for the first time at this exhibition.
Official Fanbook and AR Stickers
To commemorate the exhibition, the first official Pingu fanbook will be released, with advance sales at the venue.
At the Tokyo venue, a limited number of “Not Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition Original AR Stickers” (6 types) will be distributed randomly. By holding a smartphone or tablet over the sticker, Pingu and Pinga will appear in AR, allowing visitors to enjoy photos and videos not only at the venue but also at home.

Tickets are on sale via e+. Those who purchase by July 9, 2026 will receive one random “Not Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition Original Clear Bookmark” (5 types). The event promises to let fans experience new facets of Pingu through exclusive goods and benefits.
