The summer anime LV999 no Murabito has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for its first episode, “Lv1: The Structure of the World,” which begins airing on July 1, 2026.
Based on the light novel series by Hoshizuki Neko with illustrations by Fu-mi, LV999 no Murabito is a fantasy story set in the world of Earthclear, where every person is born with a fixed role and level. The most common and weakest role is that of the “villager.” The protagonist, Kagami Kouji, is a villager who has somehow reached the maximum level of LV999, defying the system. He meets Alice, the daughter of the Demon King, and together with his companions, he strives for coexistence between humans and demons.
The light novel series, which began serialization on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2015, has been published in print by KADOKAWA with 8 volumes. The manga adaptation, serialized in Monthly Comp Ace, has 20 volumes. The series has surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative circulation.
Directed by Kasai Yoshinobu, the anime is produced by Brain’s Base.
Episode 1 Synopsis
In a world where strength is determined by one’s born role and humans and demons are in conflict, Kagami Kouji—a villager who has reached LV999—encounters a group led by the hero Rex targeting the demon girl Alice in a cave where he has come to hunt monsters.
Kouji uses his overwhelming power to protect Alice from the heroes’ attacks, overwhelming them with his unconventional strength. He leaves Rex and his party with meaningful words before departing.
LV999 no Murabito episode 1, “Lv1: The Structure of the World,” will air on TV Tokyo and BS Fuji starting July 1, 2026. TV Tokyo broadcasts begin Wednesday, July 1 at 24:00, and BS Fuji on Thursday, July 2 at 24:30. The episode will also be available for streaming exclusively on ABEMA and DMM TV, with the first episode simulcast and subsequent episodes available one week in advance of the TV broadcast.
